For me, it’s about discovering the places that stay with you long after you return home—the neighborhood restaurant you’ll recommend to everyone, the bartender who shares the story behind a signature cocktail, the Formula 1 circuit that transforms an entire city, or the café where locals begin every morning.
Those are the moments that define a trip.
I’m Richard Jarocki, and I created this site to share those experiences.
Every destination, restaurant, hotel, cocktail bar, brewery, and travel guide featured here is based on firsthand travel and personal experience. If I recommend it, I’ve been there.
How It Started
My professional career began more than two decades ago in the automotive industry. What started as an entry-level opportunity evolved into leadership roles with brands including Nissan, Ford, BMW, and Ferrari.
Working with Ferrari introduced me to Formula 1, but what captured my attention wasn’t only the racing.
It was everything happening beyond the circuit.
Each Grand Prix became an opportunity to explore a city’s restaurants, cocktail bars, neighborhoods, hotels, architecture, and culture. Before long, I found myself planning entire trips around reservations, local recommendations, and unforgettable experiences instead of simply attending the race.
That curiosity eventually expanded well beyond Formula 1.
Today, I travel to understand destinations through their food, people, history, hospitality, and culture—whether that’s a Michelin-starred tasting menu, a family-owned restaurant that’s served the same recipes for generations, a hidden cocktail bar, or a local brewery making exceptional beer.
This website grew naturally from that passion.

Great experiences don’t always come with a luxury price tag.
My Approach
I don’t believe the best travel experiences are always the most expensive or the most famous.
Some of my favorite discoveries have been Michelin-starred restaurants. Others have been neighborhood cafés, local breweries, hidden cocktail bars, and family-owned restaurants recommended by locals.
I don’t rate experiences based on price or prestige.
I value authenticity, hospitality, craftsmanship, and whether I’d genuinely recommend someone spend their time and money there.
Every review and recommendation on this site is based on firsthand experience, with the goal of helping travelers make informed decisions and discover places they’ll remember long after the trip ends.
Approach
Why I Share It
I don’t travel to collect passport stamps or check famous landmarks off a list.
I travel because every destination has something worth discovering.
Sometimes it’s a conversation with a chef after an unforgettable meal. Sometimes it’s a bartender introducing me to a cocktail I’ll spend months trying to recreate at home. Other times it’s getting lost in a neighborhood where there wasn’t anything on my itinerary except curiosity.
Those moments have shaped how I see the world.
